uniform bullying
She used to play tennis with the State ADGP, then sometimes become a guest at the former DGP’s daughter’s wedding, and occasionally visit a coaching center to enlighten new students on how to crack the police exam. In total, her aura was such that even high-ranking police officers could be left in awe. Whenever she wanted, she could make anyone in uniform quiet by showing her authority
The girl in uniform turned out to be a bundler.
However, one day when her façade crumbled, the mystique of the police, their tactics, and the uniform unveiled, it was revealed that she was not a police officer at all. Instead, she was the number one con artist, a girl who not only fraudulently underwent two years of police sub-inspector training at the Rajasthan Police Academy but also created such a spectacle during her training that when the truth was exposed, those who came in contact with her were astonished beyond belief.
Mona had failed in the police recruitment exam
We are talking about the cunning 23-year-old girl, Mona Bugalia, who is now accused of deception. Now, I will reveal every aspect of this girl from Rajasthan one by one. Just keep being amazed as you listen to the tale of Mona. Mona hails from the village of Baas in the Nagaur district of Rajasthan. Like many other girls, Mona also dreamt of wearing the police uniform. She made efforts to fulfill this dream. She diligently prepared for the Sub-Inspector recruitment exam and even appeared for the exam. However, despite her countless efforts, she couldn’t pass this exam. That’s when her mind began to weave the web of deceit.
The way of forgery ( Short story)
Mona couldn’t digest her failure, and despite not being selected as a Sub-Inspector, she spread the news on social media that she had passed the Sub-Inspector recruitment exam, basking in the praise and congratulations that followed. It was this constant accolade and applause that propelled her to a point of no return. Mona’s family was facing financial difficulties, and this added pressure pushed her further into the world of deception and crime. So, Mona embarked on a path of deceit, fraud, and wrongdoing.
Took entry into the academy by fraud
She took advantage of irregularities during her time at the Rajasthan Police Academy and managed to gain entry through deception. Remarkably, she continued to receive the chosen Sub-Inspector training for the entire two years. In reality, the Rajasthan Police Academy typically offers two types of training for Sub-Inspectors: regular batch training and sports quota training. The regular batch training began on July 9, 2021, while the sports quota training commenced in February 2021.
Confusion in academy regarding Mona
Indeed, Mona continued to train with both batches, regularly switching between them. When questioned by the regular batch, she claimed to be part of the sports quota, and when asked by the sports quota batch, she asserted her position in the regular batch. During her time at the academy, she also discovered that there were IB (Intelligence Bureau) personnel who came for training. In this manner, by creating confusion about her quota, she effectively exploited the situation and gained the upper hand in her training.
Never took entry from the main gate of the academy
Now, you might wonder why no one ever questioned Mona’s attendance or noticed her absence during the two years of training. In reality, Mona never attended indoor classes and activities. She knew that if she attended classes, her cover might be blown during attendance checks. Similarly, anyone attending training at the academy was required to stay in the hostel. However, since Mona’s name wasn’t among the selected candidates, she couldn’t stay in the hostel. In this situation, she had a unique method. She didn’t enter or exit through the main gate of the training academy where ID card checks were conducted. Instead, she entered and exited through a gate where police officers’ family members, i.e., family members of trainees, came and went.
Mona used to go to the canteen wearing uniform

She didn’t enter or exit through the main gate of the training academy where ID card checks were conducted. Instead, she entered and exited through a gate where police officers’ family members, i.e., family members of trainees, came and went.
After coming to the training academy, Mona spent most of her time at the canteen, swimming pool, and family quarters. In the academy’s canteen, she would confidently wear her police uniform and strike up friendships with the newly recruited Sub-Inspectors. The academy’s rule required the selected candidates to bear the cost of their uniform themselves, and they could obtain the uniform from any source. Mona had two sets of uniforms made for herself. Due to the fear of getting caught, she never attempted to claim the government-provided salary of Rs. 23,500 that the selected Sub-Inspectors were entitled to. This way, she kept her charade going consistently.
Mona took full advantage of her uniform
For the entire two years, Mona exploited her police uniform to the fullest extent. She would sometimes post pictures of herself in the uniform on social media. When she visited a temple, she would enter through the VIP entrance. On occasions like January 26th and August 15th, she would become the Chief Guest at events. She impressed people with her fabricated success story. She built connections with police officers, even those of higher ranks, and took pictures with them. She even attended the wedding of the daughter of the former DGP, M.L. Lather. During shopping, she leveraged her influence with shopkeepers.
Threatening in WhatsApp group proved costly
Now, the question arises, how did Mona’s deception finally come to light? To understand this, let’s delve into the format of the training. The training consists of three phases: Basic, Field, and Sandwich. After completing Basic and Field training, Sandwich training was scheduled from September 11th to September 23rd. After this, everyone was supposed to receive a joining letter.
During both Basic and Field training, Mona successfully managed her time, but she came to attend Sandwich training. All the Sub-Inspectors undergoing training in the academy had formed a WhatsApp group. A dispute arose between Mona and one of the Sub-Inspectors in the group, and at that moment, Mona threatened to get him expelled from the academy. This is where her deception began to unravel.
Mona’s secret was exposed like this
In reality, the Sub-Inspector whom Mona had threatened began to investigate her. He was surprised to discover that Mona’s name was not on any quota list, neither in the regular quota nor in the sports quota. Afterward, this trainee Sub-Inspector filed a complaint against Mona with the academy’s authorities. It was only then that the authorities realized Mona was engaged in deception, and they immediately reported the matter to the Shastri Nagar Police Station.
Mona absconded as soon as the case was registered
A case has been registered against Mona under IPC sections 419, 468, 469, and Section 66 of the IT Act, along with Section 61 of the Rajasthan Police Act, based on the police academy officers’ complaint. However, before the police could apprehend Mona, she managed to escape. Now, the Rajasthan Police is actively searching for her. This incident has raised questions about the Rajasthan Police Academy as well.
